Veteran journalist Ted Koppel told Sean Hannity to his face that he and other opinion hosts are “bad for America... in the long haul” because they “have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.” Koppel interviewed Hannity and White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, among other influential figures, for a piece titled “A Polarized America” for CBS Sunday Morning. Hannity has been one of President Donald Trump’s biggest boosters in the media. “Liberalism has to be defeated. Socialism must be defeated, in a political sense. We don’t want a revolution in this country,” Hannity told Koppel, adding that the media at large are trying to “destroy” Trump. Hannity reacted to the segment later Sunday afternoon on Twitter, writing: “Fake ‘edited’ news. I did about a 45-minute interview with CBS. They ran less than 2. Why did Ted cut out my many examples of media bias?”
