Two FBI agents working on the probe of alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign exchanged text messages calling then-candidate Donald Trump an “idiot.” The messages were among documents turned over to Congress on Tuesday night by the Justice Department. “Special counsel Robert Mueller removed one of the agents, Peter Strzok, from the Russia probe ‘immediately’ after learning of the texts in late July, the department said in a letter to lawmakers,” Politico reported. The other agent in the text exchange, Lisa Page, had already finished working with Mueller’s team. The messages were revealed as part of the DOJ inspector general’s probe of potential political influences in investigative decisions before the election.
