The son of British businessman Mark Getty and grandson of British billionaire John Paul Getty Jr., Alexander is also the great-grandson of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty. Interestingly, the work The Birth of Alexander, by the anonymous illuminator, Master of the Jardin de vertueuse consolation, is a part of the J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Anna Getty, meanwhile, is the great-granddaughter of J. Paul Getty, daughter of bohemian parents J. Paul Getty III and photographer Gisela Getty, and sister of actor Balthazar Getty. Anna is a philanthropist, a yoga practitioner with a line of instructional DVDs, and last but not least, an author. Her cookbook, Anna Getty's Easy Green Organic, hit shelves last year. He's been acting since he was a teenager, making his debut film appearance as the lead in the 1990 film Lord of the Flies. Since then, he's been best known on the small screen for his role as Thomas Grace on a 17-episode arc of the ABC spy TV series Alias, and as Tommy Walker on the ABC TV drama Brothers & Sisters. He's been married to fashion designer Rosetta Millington since 2000 and the couple have four children, but Getty made tabloid headlines when he had a one-year affair with actress Sienna Miller in 2008-09. Paul Getty III was known as the "golden hippie" in the early 1970s for his golden locks and rebellious ways. He was kidnapped in 1973 at the age of 16, and when his grandfather refused to send the ransom, the kidnappers cut off his ear. After the ransom was paid and the teenager was released, he became a drug addict and suffered a stroke in 1981 that left him unable to walk or talk. Getty died on Feb. 5 at the age of 54. Paul Getty, and the Dutch-born former actress' marriage was short-lived, however. She died of a heroin overdose in Rome in 1971. They had one child, Tara Gabriel Galaxy Gramophone, who lives in South Africa. Although Pol and Getty had been prominent members of the "Swinging London" of the 1960s, he became a recluse after her death and began receiving treatment for his drug addiction. He later renounced his American citizenship and donated hundreds of millions of dollars to various causes, particularly the arts. Getty died in 2003 at the age of 70. Express Newspapers / Getty Images Gordon Getty once claimed to be the most normal of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty's children and said he "dodged the family curse," but he has had his own scandals brewing. In 1999, he admitted he had three illegitimate daughters over 14 years with his longtime mistress. Getty took over the family's oil trust from his father and eventually sold it to Texaco for $10 billion. Gordon Getty's personal net worth is estimated to be $2 billion, and Forbes ranked him in 2008 as the 163rd richest American. Hulton Archive / Getty Images The product of J. After a 1985 agreement split the oil tycoon's fortune among all of J. Paul Getty's children and grandchildren—including Ronald's own three children—Ronald continued to receive the $3,000 a year his father allotted him after the divorce. Paul Getty took his father's oil company and expanded it by making a deal with Ibn Saud—before any oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia. The gamble paid off, and Getty was later famously quoted as saying, "The meek shall inherit the earth, but not the mineral rights." Getty was married five times over the course of his life and had five children. Archive Photos / Getty Images
