‘The O.C.’ Star Mischa Barton Joins ‘The Hills’ Reboot

MTV announced Wednesday that Mischa Barton will join the cast of The Hills: New Beginnings, the upcoming reboot of the early 2000s reality series. Barton, who starred on the fictional but similarly dramatic The O.C., will join Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, and other original cast members in the reboot, filling a gap left by the original show’s standout, Lauren Conrad. An insider told Page Six, “She was around back in the day and went to all the clubs. She could make for good TV.” The Hills: New Beginnings is expected to premiere in 2019.
