Cameras have spotted America’s last wild jaguar, known as El Jefe, about 25 miles from Tucson, Arizona. Jaguars are the only roaring cat native to North America. There have been multiple zoological reports of the animal dating back to 1814; however, due to poaching, jaguar populations have been declining. The last female jaguar was shot in Arizona in 1963 and since then El Jefe is suspcted to have become the last of his kind. Watch the video below to catch a glimpse of him.
