The hosts of The View praised Don Jr.’s rumored ex Kimberly Guilfoyle for “winning” her breakup with Donald Trump’s eldest son, as she was just named the U.S. Ambassador to Greece.

“I want to give credit to my girl Kimberly Guilfoyle,” Alyssa Farah Griffin said Thursday while discussing the news, “This is winning a breakup.”

Guilfoyle, 55, had been dating Don Jr. since 2018. She was announced as Trump’s pick for the Greece job on the same day sources told Page Six the junior Trump had moved on from their relationship with 38-year-old Bettina Anderson. Neither she or Don Jr. have publicly confirmed the split.

Now, the ex-Fox News host and prosecutor who also ran Trump’s fundraising camp in 2020 will be out of the Trump family’s sight, living it up (according to The View hosts) in her exotic new government-funded digs in Greece. And though the hosts discussed the rumor that giving Guilfoyle the job was Anderson’s suggestion, they concluded that she “wins” either way.

“I’m out here maybe playing checkers on a good day, she’s playing chess,” Griffin said on the show Thursday. “She gets to live in Athens in a residence paid for by the U.S. government. She is just living luxury. She has probably for months been picking out her outfits, planning her new Greek boyfriends while carrying on in public. This is great, this is how you win a breakup.”

Sunny Hostin agreed, “She is winning,” since “she doesn’t have to deal with Don Jr. anymore.”

“The question is, is Greece far enough?” Behar quipped. “They want her as far away as possible,” she continued. “People are saying that Kim is not a nice person and always wants the limelight,” she said, quoting People’s reporting on the couple’s relationship status. “The Trumps cannot take it if someone else is in the spotlight.”

Griffin was adamant that however it went down, it was a win for Guilfoyle. “I believe in manifesting. Kimberly manifested this,” she said before playing the much-mocked clip of Guilfoyle declaring “the best is yet to come“ at the RNC in 2020.

Added Whoopi Goldberg, “I wish it was always that easy to get rid of an ex.”
