“You’d think that after Bill Barr’s summary of the Mueller report almost let Trump off the hook that he’d try to bring Americans together,” The View’s Joy Behar said at the top of Thursday morning’s show. “But instead, Trump wants to cut off health care for millions of people. He’s vowing to end Obamacare and said Republicans have a plan to replace it. Really?”
As the moderator went on to explain, Trump’s decision to go after the Affordable Care Act once again has “blindsided” Republicans in Congress, who thought they were done with this issue. “In addition to not being that bright, he’s also self-destructive,” she added.
Former Fox News commentator Abby Huntsman couldn’t have agreed more. After what she described as the “three best days of his entire presidency,” Huntsman said, “What a dumb political move.”

“It’s dumb because this is the issue that won Democrats the midterms, gave them their win,” she continued. “And two, as you said, Republicans don't have an alternative plan.”
“Do you think it has something to do with the fact that ‘Obama’ is in there?” Behar asked.
Meghan McCain had a different theory. “Because he’s so, as we know, obsessed with my father,” she said. “My father was the person who voted no, because he didn’t believe in the skinny repeal. Because Republicans, as we just stated, could not come to terms with what they wanted.”
After listing the “many valid criticisms” of Obamacare, McCain added, “The problem is we can’t get our narrative in line about what we want because the party is so fractured and politically it is moronic to do right now.”
Later, when Huntsman reiterated that she was “dumbfounded” by how Trump is handling is this issue, McCain jumped in with, “Shocker that he’s screwing this one up too.”
