British Prime Minister Theresa May emerged from a five-hour meeting with lawmakers Wednesday to announce that her cabinet has reached an agreement on a draft Brexit deal with the European Union. “This is a decisive step which allows us to move on and finalize the deal in the days ahead,” May said. The prime minister has faced opposition from lawmakers on both sides of the Brexit debate while negotiating an agreement that pro-Brexit cabinet members have criticized for leaving the U.K. too closely aligned with the European Union. May still faces an uphill battle to get the British parliament to support the deal, as even some members from the Conservative party have said they will vote against it. The full draft Brexit deal was published online Wednesday.
