Thieves Hit Special Needs School

ZERO CLASS

Taking van, computers, and destroying books.

In the middle of a Martin Luther King Day parade, burglars broke into a special needs school in Liberty City, Florida, stealing the school's 15-passenger van, computers, DJ equipment, and destroying books. The private school, which does not charge tuition and educates 80 students a year on $200,000, has had to turn to its own principal to buy new computers until insurance money comes in. One of the students told reporters, “They destroyed our books. I just don’t understand why they would do that. We need books to learn.”
