Tim LaHaye, the author of the apocalyptic Left Behind fiction series, has died at the age of 90. He reportedly passed away a few days after he’d suffered a stroke. LaHaye was a prominent evangelical minister, Air Force veteran, and best-selling author. He’s also famous for convincing Mel Gibson to change the ending of The Passion of the Christ to include a resurrection scene and was known as a longtime spiritual adviser and personal friend of former Gov. Mike Huckabee.
