On Wednesday, an eight-story building housing five garment factories and 2,500 workers collapsed in Savar, Bangladesh, killing more than 120 and trapping an unknown more in the concrete and rubble. In the aftermath, desperate rescuers hacked through the debris with earthmovers, drilling machines, and their bare hands in attempt to find survivors, while devastated relatives came to seek their loved ones among the rubble and rows of dead.
