Rachel Crooks, who has accused Donald Trump of sexual misconduct against her, won her primary bid for state office in Ohio. Crooks initially went public with her claims against Trump ahead of the 2016 election and, in February of this year, The Washington Post reported a more detailed account of her story, prompting an angry denial from the president on his Twitter account. Crooks alleges that she was working as a receptionist at Trump Tower in 2006 when Trump kissed her without her consent. Responding to Trump’s tweet in February, Crooks said: “Please, by all means, share the footage from the hallway outside the 24th floor residential elevator bank on the morning of January 11, 2006. Let’s clear this up for everyone. It’s liars like you in politics that have prompted me to run for office myself.” Crooks won an uncontested primary and will face Republican State Rep. Bill Reineke in November.
