President Trump addressed the laughter that occurred during his United Nations General Assembly speech Tuesday, claiming that those in the audience were laughing “with him.” “I said this in front of a group of highly professional people... people that aren’t into clapping, applauding, smiling and I heard a little rustle... and I heard smiles,” Trump said during his Wednesday press conference. “They weren’t laughing at me, they were laughing with me. We had fun. That was not laughing at me... People had a good time with me. We were doing it together. We had a good time. They respect what I’ve done.” After Trump claimed that his administration has “accomplished more than almost any administration in the history” of the United States during a General Assembly speech Tuesday, members of the audience broke out into laughter. “Didn’t expect that reaction, but that’s OK,” he said in response.
