Trump Commutes Alice Johnson Sentence After Meeting With Kim Kardashian

President Donald Trump commuted Alice Johnson’s sentence on Wednesday after Kim Kardashian lobbied the White House to pardon the great-grandmother. Kardashian, reality TV star and wife of rapper Kanye West, tweeted “BEST NEWS EVER!!!!” upon hearing the news. She went to the White House last week to speak directly with Trump about pardoning Johnson. Kardashian told Mic immediately after their meeting that she felt he “really understood,” and she was “very hopeful that this will turn out really positively.” Trump recently pardoned conservative personality Dinesh D’Souza.
