President Trump announced on Twitter Saturday that he will remain in the White House over the Christmas holiday due to the government shutdown. Trump won't be making the trip down to Mar-a-Lago, his home in Palm Beach Florida. First Lady Melania Trump left for Mar-a-Lago on Friday. Trump privately vented frustrations in January during a shutdown earlier this year that the impasse would keep him from attending a glitzy inauguration anniversary bash and fundraiser, where ticket prices started at $100,000 a pair.
