Politico reporter Ben Schreckinger was denied access to Donald Trump’s press conference Tuesday night after officials granted him credentials earlier in the day. Schreckinger, who has covered the campaign for more than six months, received an email with the credentials for Trump’s speech and press conference at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. However, less than 10 minutes later, he received another email saying those credentials were no longer accepted, without an explanation. The move comes after Trump’s campaign threatened to exclude Politico reporters from campaign events last week. The Des Moines Register, Univision, Fusion, The Huffington Post, and BuzzFeed have all been denied credentials to Trump’s events while a New York Times reporter was ejected from an Iowa event in January.
