President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will “be signing something” on the administration’s controversial family separation policy, as bipartisan condemnation continues to rise. Acknowledging that the majority of Republicans want to keep families together, Trump said that “I’ll be signing something in a little while that’s going to do that. I’ll be doing something that’s somewhat preemptive and ultimately will be matched by legislation I’m sure.” He later added: “We’re going to be signing an executive order in a little while. We’ve got to be keeping families together.”
