After the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting and this past week’s mail-bombing campaign, President Trump blamed the news media for the “division and hatred” that was happening in the country in a late Sunday tweet. “The Fake News is doing everything in their power to blame Republicans, Conservatives and me for the division and hatred that has been going on for so long in our Country,” Trump wrote. “Actually, it is their Fake & Dishonest reporting which is causing problems far greater than they understand!” Robert Bowers is accused of shooting and killing 11 people at the Tree of Life synagogue on Saturday, and had previously criticized the president for not hating Jewish people on social media. Cesar Sayoc, the Florida man who has been charged with mailing explosive devices to prominent anti-Trump figures, appeared to be a fervent Trump supporter.
