In a series of Tuesday morning tweets, including one stating that he needed to “start focusing his energy elsewhere,” President Donald Trump again went after America’s mainstream media, claiming that journalists have “run the most highly sophisticated & dishonest Disinformation Campaign in the history of politics” since he announced his candidacy, and it has refused to acknowledge his successes. But it has failed to work, however, because he won the presidency in 2016, Trump said. “No matter how well WE do, they find fault. But the forgotten men & women WON, I’m President!” The tweet spree comes after the president called out the use of the phrase “sources say” in articles, noting that “fake news media… [doesn’t] mention names[.]”
