President Donald Trump has mocked the Sunday night Emmy Awards ceremony for what he described as “the worst ever” ratings. “I was saddened to see how bad the ratings were on the Emmys last night—the worst ever. Smartest people of them all are the ‘DEPLORABLES,’” Trump tweeted late Tuesday. Trump was a popular target for mockery by presenters and prize-winners at the awards ceremony, which had an audience of about 11.4 million TV viewers, according to Nielsen. This year’s ratings were slightly above last year’s record-low audience of 11.3 million.
