In a Wednesday morning interview with Fox & Friends, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump declared that military forces must kill the families of ISIS militants, regardless of their innocence. “I would knock the hell out of ISIS,” he told host Brian Kilmeade. When asked about civilian casualties, the real-estate mogul replied, “I would do my best [to avoid them],” but “one of the reasons we’re so ineffective is that they’re using them as human shields.” He added: “The other thing with terrorists—you have to take out their families. When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives—don’t kid yourself. But they say they don’t care about their lives. You have to take out their families.”
