The band R.E.M. ordered a takedown of a video President Donald Trump shared this week, showing Democrats frowning to the band's song "Everybody Hurts." Trump tweeted the video on Friday, after it was released online by a pro-Trump meme-maker. In response, R.E.M. blasted Trump on Twitter. The video became unavailable Saturday, reportedly after R.E.M.'s record label complained of copyright infringement. Shortly after that video vanished, Trump tweeted a different video showing the same footage, but with the song "God Bless The USA."
