The world’s richest man is reportedly a tenant of Donald Trump’s, much to the president-elect’s delight. Citing sources familiar with the arrangement, the New York Times reports that Elon Musk is renting out one of the cottages on Trump’s Mar-A-Lago property that typically prices out at a $2,000 rate per night. Though it’s unclear how much Musk will end up paying for his stay, the cottage, named Banyan, is several hundred feet away from the main house on Mar-A-Lago and Trump has reportedly been bragging to people about the tech mogul’s living arrangement. The Times adds that Musk moved into the cottage around Election Day, and is known around the club’s staff to make meal requests outside normal kitchen hours. He also has been accompanied by at least two of his children and their nannies. Guests at Mar-a-Lago aren’t typically billed until the end of their stay, so it’s unclear if Musk will be offered a reduced bill or get a free stay on the house. The Banyan has also seemingly been used by many of Trump’s friends and associates, including former Speaker John Boehner.
