A Guatemalan woman who lives in the U.S. illegally doesn’t regret going public with her allegations of abusive working conditions at President Trump’s New Jersey country club, even though she could be deported or fired, according to The Associated Press. Victorina Morales, who works as a maid there, can’t return to her homeland because her family has gotten death threats, but felt compelled to stand up for other undocumented workers at Trump’s club, she told the AP on Friday. One manager allegedly called them “donkeys” and “dogs.” Morales, who says she washed Trump’s clothes and made his bed at his residence there, maintains that there are at least one dozen undocumented workers at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. Morales claimed she used bogus permanent residency documents to get the job. She alleged that supervisors were well aware she and other workers had questionable paperwork, but also says that one supervisor helped her obtain phony documentation. Her account was first published Thursday by The New York Times.
