President Trump told governors at the White House on Sunday that he is happy so long as North Korea continues its pause in weapons testing, Reuters reports. Amid what has widely been seen as Trump softening his stance on North Korea’s nuclear program in recent days, the president also reportedly said he saw eye to eye with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, with whom he is scheduled to hold his second round of talks later this week in Vietnam. “I’m not in a rush. I don’t want to rush anybody,” Trump was quoted as saying. “I just don’t want testing. As long as there’s no testing, we’re happy.” Just last year, Trump walked away from his first summit with Kim declaring that Pyongyang was “no longer a threat” because they’d promised to denuclearize, though he was widely criticized for what many saw as his failure to strike a deal.
