President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order aimed at expanding access to cheaper health-insurance plans by allowing newly formed health associations that offer less coverage. Those plans would then be able to be sold across state lines, which is illegal under the Affordable Care Act. Trump said Thursday that signing the order is the step “to providing millions of Americans with Obamacare relief.” Democrats and supporters of the Affordable Care Act say the move is another attempt by the Trump administration to sabotage and undermine the existing law.
