President Trump will visit Las Vegas on Wednesday, he announced Monday morning, in the wake of the tragic mass shooting there that killed at least 58 people and left hundreds more injured. In a short address from the White House, Trump called the shooting “an act of pure evil” and said the American flag atop the White House would be flown at half-staff. The suspected shooter, Stephen C. Paddock, 64, died from what police officials believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound after opening fire on concert-goers from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel.
