Donald Trump’s friends and family box at this week’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee was stuffed with a rogue’s gallery of MAGA celebrities. On Thursday night, two of the box seats were occupied by country music star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Aldean. The singer rocketed to infamy last summer with the release of his music video for “Try That in a Small Town,” a single that hit No. 2 in the country after it was accused of using racist messaging. On Wednesday, according to Politico, the denizens of Casa Trump Box included Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr., Kai Trump, Gov. Greg Abbott, the Burgums, Eric and Lara Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and J.D. Vance’s mother, Bev Vance. The night prior, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Tucker Carlson made cameos in the box. A person familiar with the matter told The New York Times this week that Trump had said privately that Carlson—who spoke at the RNC on Thursday night ahead of the former president’s own remarks—“sat in the box only because he had asked to be in the box.”
