Saudi Arabia has reportedly given Turkey permission to search its Istanbul consulate, nearly two weeks after journalist and dissident Jamal Khashoggi went missing there. The Washington Post writer entered the Saudi consulate on Oct. 2 and has not been seen since. President Donald Trump vowed Sunday that the U.S. would dish out “severe punishment” if the journalist is found to have been killed. Saudi authorities insist Khashoggi left the consulate, but have provided no evidence of that. The search of the consulate is expected to take place Monday afternoon.
