Turns Out Chris Christie Hated Traffic on the George Washington Bridge, Too

Feels Your Pain

Before Bridgegate, the governor explained the best part of being boss was driving to New York with no gridlock.

If last September, you happened to have been stuck in traffic on the Fort Lee side of the George Washington Bridge, fear not: Chris Christie can relate.

Or at least he used to be able to. At least that is what he told a second-grader at a townhall last February.

The tyke asked the gov his favorite part about being governor. His answer?

“When you are governor, they close the Lincoln Tunnel for you. And you get to drive right through. No traffic! It is the best! I love going to New York now. I used to hate it because I would sit in traffic. Now, no traffic. I love it!”
