Donna Mills, best known for her role as Abby Cunningham on CBS’s Knots Landing, announced she is joining OnlyFans at 85
In a statement to Variety, the TV icon wrote, “I’ve always appreciated the incredible support and encouragement I’ve received from my fans over the years. Social media has been a wonderful way to stay connected, but I’m excited to join OnlyFans because it offers the opportunity for a more personal and direct connection.”
While the platform is widely known for its sexually explicit content, the 1980s superstar said she was motivated by the opportunity to engage with fans on a deeper level: “It’s simply another platform to spend quality time with the people who’ve supported me throughout my career while staying true to who I am.”
Andy Bachman, the CEO of Creators Inc., revealed that the surprising decision “is about giving her longtime fans more access to the personality, style, and behind-the-scenes moments.” Bachman added that during a meeting with Mills, she said, “YOLO—let’s do it,” referencing the popular acronym for “you only live once.”
OnlyFans is a subscription platform where content creators share photos, videos, and live streams with fans for a fee.
Mills made headlines earlier this year for clapping back at criticism claiming she puts too much effort into her appearance. On April 5th, she posted an Instagram video directly responding to a comment reading: “You wear too much makeup for your age”
Mills noted that “style does not have an expiration date.” Fans quickly embraced Mills’s message, with over 11,000 comments flooding in, praising the actress for not letting age define her.
One user wrote: “You look gorgeous. Don’t back down! You inspire so many!”
Mills began her television career in 1966 with a supporting role on CBS’s soap opera The Secret Storm. She later earned a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Madeline Reeves on ABC’s General Hospital.
She is best known for Knots Landing, which achieved massive success as a critically acclaimed soap drama. The show spanned 14 seasons and 344 episodes from December 27, 1979, to May 13, 1993.
Mills has never married but has been with actor Larry Gilman, 76, since 2001. She adopted her daughter, Chloe, in 1994.
