Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey addressed the platform’s decision not to suspend Alex Jones’ accounts in a Twitter thread and blog post Tuesday, saying the Infowars host “hasn’t violated” its rules. “We’ll enforce if he does,” Dorsey wrote. “We’re going to hold Jones to the same standard we hold to every account, not taking one-off actions to make us feel good in the short term, and adding fuel to new conspiracy theories.” After Facebook, YouTube, Apple, and Spotify all suspended Jones in the last two days, Dorsey said the company would not “succumb and simply react to outside pressure,” and would instead stick to “straightforward principles.” Twitter, said Dorsey, would “continuously” evolve its enforcement policies to “address emerging behaviors online.”
