Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to Testify Before House Committee in September

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will testify in front of the House Energy and Commerce Committee on September 5th, the committee announced in a tweet. “This committee intends to ask tough questions about how Twitter monitors and polices content, and we look forward to Mr. Dorsey being forthright and transparent regarding the complex processes behind the company’s algorithms and content judgment calls,” Chairman Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR) said in a statement to Reuters. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg testified before Congress during an April hearing and was grilled about the dissemination of fake news on the platform, among other topics.
