Twitter confirmed in a filing Monday that co-founder Jack Dorsey will remain as CEO of both the social-media company and Square, the payments and financial-services company he founded in 2009. The 38-year-old has served as Twitter’s interim chief since July. Dorsey’s permanent return comes at a critical time for Twitter, which failed to impress investors after its 2013 initial public offering. News of Dorsey’s permanent role first broke last Wednesday.
