The bodies of two adults and two children were found in a New Jersey mansion fire that is being investigated as a potential arson, WNBC reports. Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni said the bodies found in the Colts Neck home were “severely burned.” The body of a man who was shot was also found outside the mansion at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, but it was unclear if the man died of the gunshot wound or the fire. The local news station reported the home was owned by Keith Caneiro, 50, and Jennifer Caneiro, 45. A law enforcement source told NJ.com that Keith Caneiro's body was the one found shot outside the home, and the gunshot was not self-inflicted. The three other bodies—including Jennifer Caneiro's—were reportedly found inside the home, according to the website. Keith Caneiro’s LinkedIn describes him as the CEO and chief technology officer of a company called Square One. Earlier Tuesday, a fire also occurred at a Square One’s vice president’s home, about 10 miles away from Colts Neck. Investigators say the home, reportedly owned by Paul and Susan Caneiro, had “several gas cans in the rear of the house.” When asked if the two fires were connected, Gramiccioni said, “That remains to be seen but that is an angle we continue to pursue.”
