Two high-rise construction cranes in Miami collapsed on Sunday due to extreme wind speeds brought by Hurricane Irma. The storm made landfall in south Florida on Sunday morning as a category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds above 130 mph. The cranes were built to withstand wind speeds of up to 145 mph, NBC Miami reported.
