Two police officers where shot outside the office of the Italian Prime Minister Sunday, causing authorities to halt the ceremonial swearing in of the new government taking place one mile away at the president's palace. Witnesses near the incident said they heard the suspect—who they describe as particularly well-dressed—shooting "shoot me, shoot me," to police. It is still unclear whether the shooting was related to the event it interrupted—the swearing in of Prime Minister Enrico Letta's new government.
