Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s two college friends are facing 25 years in prison and deportation on charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice after allegedly helping the Boston Marathon bombing suspect dispose of a laptop, fireworks, and a backpack after the attacks. Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, both 19 years old and students at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, received a text from Tsarnaev asking them to “take what’s there,” at which point they took the items back to their apartment and put them in a Dumpster. They were later found in the city landfill.
