Two U.S. servicemembers were killed in northern Iraq on Sunday, the Pentagon said, and five others were injured. The troops were conducting combat operations, and “the incident was not due to enemy contact,” according to initial reports. “The entire counter-ISIS Coalition sends our deepest condolences to these heroes' families, friends and teammates,” said Lt. Gen. Stephen J. Townsend, the commander of Operation Inherent Resolve.
