The Uber driver accused of killing six people and critically injuring two in a shooting spree across Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2016 has pleaded guilty to all the charges against him. Jason Dalton, 48, pleaded guilty on Monday to six counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and multiple felony firearms charges for the Feb. 20, 2016, shooting spree. Dalton, who previously claimed that the Uber app made him carry out three separate shootings between pick-ups, now faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. In a Kalamazoo County courtroom Monday, Dalton entered his plea in a low voice in front of families of the victims and admitted he’d wanted to carry out the shootings for “quite a while.”
