The University of Connecticut has expelled the Kappa Sigma fraternity after a student was run over by a fire department vehicle when she was returning from the frat’s party in October. Six members of the Greek house were arrested and charged with various counts in the death of Jeffny Pally, 19. She was killed early in the morning on Oct. 16 when she sat on the ground with her back against a garage door in the Public Safety Complex of the school. The fire department received a call and had to leave the garage just after 1 a.m., police said. The garage door pulled up, she fell on the ground, and a fire department Chevy Tahoe drove over her. They found Pally an hour and a half later, when they returned from the call, but she had already died of blunt injuries to her torso and head. Her death was classified as an accident.
