Officials at the prison that school shooter T.J. Lane escaped from late Thursday night, were apparently warned of Lane’s escape plans a day before. The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association says that one of the inmates was put in segregation after his escape plans were discovered (that inmate lived in the same unit as Lane and one other escapee) but prison officials did not take further steps to secure the unit. In addition, a prison inspection report from April reveals that inspectors found "an ongoing concern" regarding security management in the unit that housed Lane and two other inmates who hopped a fence and were on the loose for a few hours before being apprehended again.
