A United Airlines flight from Rome to Chicago was forced to land in Ireland Monday, after the crew discovered a “potential security threat onboard,” reports the Wall Street Journal. The plane was diverted to Shannon Airport “following a discovery of a message,” Irish police said, and officials searched passengers and luggage a second time. A person close to the matter told the Journal that “the message was of a ‘threatening nature’ and found in either an onboard bathroom or elsewhere on the plane.” The flight will now depart Tuesday morning.
