Federal prosecutors in New York this week charged a U.S. border patrol agent for his role in a literally titillating (and illegal) scheme: During a series of virtual interviews with applicants seeking to enter the United States in August 2023, they allege 53-year-old Shane Millan instructed three women to bare their breasts—and in one other instance, to show off her bra. Millan is said to have told the women this was a necessary part of the interview and approval process, but it was solely for his “own gratification,” the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York said in a statement. Having been arrested and arraigned Thursday in Syracuse, New York, Millan faces four misdemeanor charges of depriving the women of their rights “to be free from unreasonable searches.” He's since been released pending trial.
