U.S. military manned and unmanned aircraft strikes against an Al-Shabaab training camp in Somalia on Saturday killed 150 militants allegedly in the final stages of planning a “large scale” attack, the Pentagon declared Monday. The camp was reportedly located 120 miles north of the Somali capital of Mogadishu, and the assault being planned allegedly posed a threat to U.S. and African Union peacekeeping forces in the area.
