Just two days after Usher’s 5-year-old son nearly drowned in his pool, the R&B singer’s ex-wife, the boy’s mother, has filed for emergency custody. Usher Raymond V was reportedly trying to retrieve a toy that became lodged in the pool’s drain when his arm got stuck, trapping him underwater. Two contractors nearby were able to free him several minutes later, but not before he lost consciousness. Usher and Tameka Foster divorced in 2009; the Voice coach gained sole custody of their two sons in 2012.
