KEEP IT COMFY

With an innovative construction, the new ComfyCush Vans shoes are, well, pretty damn comfy.

The ComfyCush shoes look like normal Vans on the outside, simple and sleek. But their secret is buried under the canvas.

With an innovative one-piece constructed interior, ComfyCush foam (a branded way of saying memory foam), a moisture-wicking lining, and added arch support, the new ComfyCush Vans shoes are, well, pretty damn comfy. As someone that spent a lot of her youth in Vans, I can attest to the less than enjoyable experience of breaking them (and most sneakers, if we’re being honest) in. But after wearing brand new shoes for over two hours, I genuinely forgot I was wearing them — they were that comfortable.

“The ComfyCush Era exemplifies how Vans is adapting to the evolving needs of our consumers,” said Nathanial Iott, senior director of footwear design at Vans, in a press release. “Often the opportunity to design something new leads to dramatic updates, but the best thing about the ComfyCush Era is that it is truly a classic,” added Matthew Pino, Global Product Merchandising Manager.

Sticking to the classics but elevating their comfort level is an upgrade some brands take for granted. Sometimes, as consumers, we don’t need a fully new idea. The iconic Vans styles exist for a reason, and outfitting them with small improvements to make them even more wearable is a way to continue building a brand that people can rely on.

The new design comes in a few different iconic Vans styles, like the Era, Slip-On, Old Skool, Authentic, Sk8-Hi, and more. Each style is unisex, as well, and there are tons of color options (I received the Era in Navy/Yellow and they’re great). You can grab coupons for Vans here.
