That noise you’re hearing is millions of Logan-Veronica (LoVe for the truly dedicated) fans waking up squealing. The record-setting Kickstarter Veronica Mars movie project’s trailer was released Thursday. In it, Mars, a private eye played by Kristen Bell, returns to her hometown to solve a murder after vowing to leave that life behind. The TV series by Rob Thomas upon which the film is based was never a ratings success, but its rabid fan base remained dedicated and helped make the film the fastest-ever Kickstarter to hit $1 million in funding—and eventually make total of $5.7 million (far above its $2 million goal) in March 2013. The film will be released on March 14, 2014.
