In a shocking video, a Ohio man can be seen punching his lawyer in the face upon receiving a sentence of nearly five decades in prison.
Caught on a Cuyahoga County sheriff’s deputy’s body camera, the video shows David Chislton, 42, throwing himself at his lawyer, Aaron Brockler, during his sentencing hearing Tuesday in Common Pleas Court.
“I turned to him because I was about to tell him that I will come and meet with him privately to see if there was anything we could do to reduce the sentence, but before I could even open my mouth I heard a swoosh sound,” said Brockler, who was taken to a nearby hospital about the altercation. “All I remember is waking up on the floor underneath the table.”
Chislton had previously pleaded guilty to domestic abuse, aggravated arson, felonious assault, and cruelty against a companion animal.
