In 1934 Audrey Jaeckel and John Baker take a stroll hand and hand at the annual horse show of the Southhampton Riding and Hunt Club. The sixth annual horse show was revived in the 1920s after World War I.

In July 1939, in Montauk, five famous artists try to depict the beauty of Georgia Pierce, a New York socialite, using the sand as their canvas. The artists, Gilbert Bundy, Abner Dean, Dean Cornwall, Arthur William Brown, and James Montgomery Flagg, took to a day at the Surf Club at Montauk Beach.
